Jump (suit) for my love...

I've been after a jumpsuit for ages after seeing loads of other gorgeous bloggers rocking them. I first tried to get my mits on the Asda Parrot print version, but that was not to be, then I ordered the black version but they cancelled the order as it went out of stock. I thought it was fate telling me it would never happen... (dramatic much?)

I spied this number in M&S at the weekend whilst taking the Mother in Law for coffee and immediatley snapped it up. It's advertised as beach wear, but I thought I'd wear it for work anyhoo. It's really quite comfy, very lightweight so ideal for holidays and could be dressed up or down. I thought I'd go for silver so my (other) new shoes can get an outing. They also do a floral version, so I'm debating buying that one too.

One thing I did learn, if you wear a jumpsuit at work, always make sure you lock the toilet door properly otherwise a poor colleague will get a full frontal.

Anyway.....

My face looks ridiculous in this as does my hair. First thing in the morning - never good!

 Much better hair here...

Green is the colour

I've had these trousers for a while but they've always felt a little bit tight... however, I realised they are the same stretch material as my navy cuffed trousers, so I thought I'd chance my luck and wear them. I absolutely love the colour and despite worrying they were going to split and show my wares to the world, I managed to get away with it.

My legs are definitely my worst part so I was a bit paranoid at first about the really bright colour of these trousers drawing attention to my lumps and bumps. And then I though feck it, this is who I am and if you don't like, don't look. So there.

I kept it simple with black as I wanted the trousers to do the talking. Typically these trousers are now in the sale. I could have waited - but that's not something I'm good at.

Bird on a (very frustrating) wire....

I keep wondering why I don't wear this top as it's really quite pretty. Then I wear it and remember. It's so frustrating. The silky material and the heavy zip on the back make it sit all wrong and I spend the entire day attempting to adjust it. I don't think the fit on me is very good (the big bum trauma as usual) which doesn't help. It might have to go to eBay.

I wasn't sure what the weather was up to yesterday so I went almost summery (well my shoes are peep toe)

I love these shoes for a fiver! Have them in silver too - go buy some....

And I want and I need and I love animal..........

I fell in love with this dress when I saw it on the New Look website and totally had to have it. Then it sold out and I was desolate (well not quite but you know). Then one appeared on eBay in a size 20, so it seemed like fate. I think I ended up paying a few quid more than it was originally, but I loved it so that was ok. Then New Look restocked it... Gah. Patience is something I must learn.

Now - this dress is nice. It's a bit thinner than the ASOS Curve Jersey dresses that I love, but the biggest issue for me is the length. It's a bit too ankle flashy for my liking. You can't really see that from these photos, but when I walk it's all midi length on me. Anyway, I still love it so I can live with a bit of ankle flashing.

Yesterday was also a good hair day. This doesn't happen often. Today it is totally not happening.

Ooooh look, a photo I didn't take myself... Why I am all head cocked, I've no idea!

I originally wore it with a red belt, cos I am all over leopard print and red together, but this belt was annoying the bejesus out of me so I swapped it for black. Why Matt needed to photograph so much wall above me is another question.....

And back to mirror shots....

Some stuff I've been wearing - part 2

Work is utter pants at the moment, which means limited blogging time available. Clearly I'm still getting dressed most days, so here's a few crappy outfits for you to cast your eyes over. I made a massive attempt to get the camera on self timer at the weekend so you'd not have to endure more mirror shots but it failed massively.

Any tips for getting better photos?

Friday night out with the girls - another Asda purchase (the place is dangerous). I wanted to wear this top with a skirt, but I didn't have one that seemed to work.... Maybe I need to purchase?!

My final Asda purchase! I've only a pair of leggings not yet worn from last week's splurge now.... Expect them soon...

We've had a bit of sun today so I'm in a dress again, I know it's not meant to last so I thought it best to make the most of it. Expect photos of this rare event tomorrow - possibly even taken by someone!

It's a cruel cruel world, to face on your own

Another spectacularly normal outfit from me, but this is another Asda purchase and the cross version of my star vest of which I am a large fan. It was the last one left in my (not so) local store which was my size - clearly it was meant to be.

Since we had a hint of sun today, I decided to wear my ankle grazer jeans (not meant to be ankle grazers but they were the right length for ankle grazing) which I have very badly DIY'ed to taper the legs a bit more. Add a splash of gold to my shoes to tie it all together and I am all set. For what, I have no idea.

Oh and I am blatantly flashing my bra again, it's becoming a habit!

Supermarket perils

Yesterday, I decided to pop into Asda on my way home from work for bread and milk. When I say pop in - this is a lie. Asda is totally out of my way, but I had some Birthday money and it was burning a massive hole in my pocket and I was hankering after some of the lovely clothes I'd seen on the website. So, me popping for bread and milk ended up costing me almost £80. Sigh. Thank goodness for Birthday cash!

This outfit feels really good on. I am not sure how it translates in photo's but I feel really confident in it. I got the jumper in a slightly bigger size than normal as I wanted it to be slouchy which I think works. The colour in real life is a lot more vibrant than it appears on the website and I love the subtle star detailing on it.

Same old stuff

I've been seriously AWOL of late due to being on holiday and actively avoiding my laptop. I've also been wearing the same stuff over and over since it's so fricking cold. I've so many lovely maxi dresses and sandals I want to wear, but since it's like winter out there, they might have to wait.

I've been trying to cheer myself up with coloured jeans, but that's as exciting as it gets folks. I think you've probably seen all of the below before?!

I am hoping to sport some new items soon. Yesterday I turned 36 (shhh, don't tell anyone) and I mostly asked for Dorothy Perkins vouchers, so I am off to see what I can buy.

How do you remain cheerful in such hideous weather?

Some stuff I've been wearing

I've not been posting as much as I'd like of late as work is crazy - I have next week off so I'm trying to get as much done as I can before then.

I have however, still been wearing clothes... so here is a quick catch  up of some of my less hideous outfits of late.

Firstly, a fairly casual outfit:

These leggings kept falling down ALL day. I had to get my needle and thread out in the end to tighten the waist band. At one point they were down by my knees. Not cool. Forgive the crap hair, I was working from home so didn't wash it. Hence I look like a skank.

Star print leggings (20) - Asda
Jersey Dress (18) - New Look
Black Jersey Cardigan (18) - Matalan
Studded Ballet Pumps - New Look
Giraffe Print Snood - Primark

Secondly, maxi dress:

You've seen this dress before & I have it in Blue & Black. It's one of my favourites as it's so easy to wear. I am considering getting even more colours as I will wear it death when the Sun returns... (if?)

Red Jersey Maxi dress (22) - ASOS Curve
Black Jersey Cardigan (18) - Matalan
Zebra Print Sandals - Dorothy Perkins
Waist Belt - Ebay
Angel Wing Pendant - Accessorize

And finally, dress down Friday:

I love this vest, it's a very fine knit and a good length, I can't be doing with vests showing off my midriff.  I am considering buying the cross version too. It's lovely dressed up with my skinnies as well as my slouchy  jeans. Plus, it's a little bit see through too for that added inappropriateness at work :)

Slouch Jeans (24) - Evans
Black Jersey Cardigan (18) - Matalan
Bow Print Snood - Primark

I literally cannot wait for next week off. We've lots of lovely things planned so I might wear some nice clothes to post :)

Have a fabulous Jubilee weekend everyone!
