Pink to make the boys wink....

Sometimes an outfit just feels good. It doesn't have to be anything special, but you just feel a million dollars in it. Well this is one of those outfits.

I LOVE this top, I really like the lace details and the relaxed fit. It feels really comfortable to wear and you get a hint of bra through the shoulders, so I matched mine to my shoes (obviously). Oh and these shoes - just look at the colour. They aren't really practical for this dull, wet weather, but I want to wear them all of the time.

These pictures are even worse than usual, I really need to sort that out. I'll try to get better shots in future, I just need to rope my husband into a bit more photography, he'll be over the moon :)

A feat of engineering

I love a maxi dress, they are pretty much my evening staple when I am on holiday, but I've always struggled to find a strapless bra that can contain my puppies, let alone give me a cleavage or stay up. Enter the wonderbra ultimate strapless (beware of a bra picture coming up!)

This thing is amazing. It stays put (even after vigorous dancing), gives me a cleavage and allows me to wear my plethora of bandeau dresses. If you're up to a 38G, then I can't recommend this highly enough. Admittedly, if like me you can only fasten your bra's from the front, it's a bleeding nightmare as it is impossible to turn around, but that's a minor detail for an almost 37 year old woman who can't fasten a bra properly...

The dress is a fairly bright print and pretty comfy and easy to wear. I have the same one in black and they got a lot of wear while I was away. The sandals are pretty, but really blooming painful. I think I need to wear them a lot more to get used to them. They smell nice at least.

very serious face.

Magnificent 7th - Floral

I saw a few ladies taking part in this challenge last month and decided I'd like to join in. I've lost my blogging mojo a little bit due to life getting in the way, so I thought this would give me a kick up the bum to get back into the swing of things. I emailed Beth and she kindly included me and here we are!

We will be posting on the 7th of each month, and the aim of the challenge is to create an outfit to fit the theme, using clothes from our wardrobes, and yes that does mean digging deep into the depths and finding those long lost clothes! Hopefully one of us won’t end up in Narnia, but you never know with a bloggers wardrobe!

So this month's theme is floral. I have a lot of floral items in my wardrobe - far more than I actually expected, but I opted to post these ASOS floral pants which were an absolute wardrobe staple when I was on holiday. I have a lot of floral trousers, but these are the only jersey pair I own, so they are as comfy as pj's which is no bad thing in my opinion.

Excuse the startled look in this photo - my eyes look demented, but you get more of an idea of the trousers in this one!

Holiday day wear

I used to always struggle with what to wear during  the day on  holiday. I don't do shorts because I'm not a fan of my legs & dresses only really work with cycling shorts on underneath due to chub rub (not really ideal for by the pool) . Then I discovered hareems and jersey trousers and I've not really looked back.

Here's a small selection of what I wore during the day, pretty much always the same uniform - hareems/ jersey trousers with vest, bikini and flip flops. Hey presto, comfy and oh so stylish :)

The good thing about these trousers is that that can also be worn at night and look all dressed up = minimal packing. A winner every time.

I pretty much wear hair donuts constantly when I'm away during the day. In Thailand, the weather was really humid so my hair was mostly fluffy. My hair is very fine, so a bun is usually the size of a 10 pence piece - with a hair donut, it's amazing and so quick and easy to do.

Do you have a go to look during the summer?

Red Hot Swing

So, sadly, I am back from Thailand. Back to work and back to reality. Boo and hiss.

I did however, get to wear lots of nice new clothes while I was away, so expect a plethora of random posts from me over the next few days.

This red swing dress, I originally bought expecting it to be fairly short so it could be worn as a long line vest. It's actually too long to wear as a vest in my humble opinion and the shape doesn't do much for me, but I love the colour so I belted it and wore it with my Jersey peg trousers and it kind of worked ok. I would have worn it with leggings if I'd have bothered to pack any.

Not totally sure about this look - I was even less sure when I had Thai Curry all down my front (goddam booby shelf), but red is my favourite colour, so it was forgiven.
