Lady what lunches.

Last Friday, the boy and I were lucky enough to have lunch at Le Manoir aux quat'saisons which was a wedding gift from my bestest friends. I wanted to look a bit fancy whilst having an expandable waistband so I could manage the 6 course lunch. Greedy, much?

Anyway, I look bloody shocking in these pics but I felt comfy and more fancy than I normally do.

These tights are a lush colour and I really wish they'd stayed up. Even with an emergency pair of pants over the top, my modesty was very much in question. Spending the afternoon rummaging around your lady area is frowned upon in posh establishments.

I think my quest for tights has to end. I suspect the massive size of my backside will forever hinder tight purchasing. If you don't have my gargantuan bottom, try these tights, they're quite lovely.

This lace peplum from Next is still one of my favourites and the ASOS skirt is very comfy and goes with much of my wardrobe. A bargain as well at a mere £18.

Ghastly pants

Oh these trousers are ugly, but I really love them. I'm aware I look like I've left my pyjama's on, but I'm ok with that. The print is pretty OTT and very busy, but who wants to blend in?

This whole outfit feels a bit like I'm wearing clown clothes. The coat is oversized, but I love it, the top it really long, but split right up the side so I'm prone to flashing and the trousers are a bit baggier than I'd like, but all in all, it's comfy and I feel fairly good in it. The top gives the odd flash of bra too since it has sheer panels throughout, I'm just so brazen.

I've wanted this coat for ages, and when it was half price I took the plunge. Quite frankly, I don't think it does me any favours and I should have gone for the size 20, but I was desperate to wear it when it arrived so I didn't employ much common sense. Anyway, sod flattering, I like it. It's better when my whole outfit isn't oversized however, I look slight less rotund.

Checkmate

I recently placed a fairly large order at ASOS as I had some Christmas money left over and it was burning a hole in my pocket. This skirt was one of the things I'd had my eye on for a while and I thought I'd be brave and order it. It's a bit out of my comfort zone - I never wear anything containing white on my lower half, but since I kept it safe with all black, I feel fairly confident in it.

Seeing these pictures has made me realise I am desperate for a hair cut, I look like a witch! This skirt is so comfy, and a good length on me (I'm 5'8"), I prefer things to cover my pudding knees where possible. I'm a fan of these cheap and cheerful pencil skirts from ASOS, I already have the black, I may purchase the Oxblood version too.

These tights are still amazing after washing them a few times, I really need to buy some more but they are always sold out. Come on Yours, help a girl out?!

Pansy pants

I am a big lover of coloured or printed trousers. My husband always comments on how much I love to blend in with the background when I am wearing them :) Nothing wrong with making a statement, now is there?

I already have the Simply Be Flower print trousers and they are a firm favourite of mine. I've been mulling over the Very versions for a while and decided to take the plunge and order a couple of pairs with my Christmas money. These are the pansy print version.

The quality of these trousers is pretty good. The fit seems spot on, although they are slightly short on me (I'm 5'8") and the print is pretty gorgeous. I had planned to wear them with a different top, but I reorganised my drawers last week and now I can't bloody find anything. So instead I matched my bra to the trouser pattern. Cunning.

Christmas day

Happy New Year! I hope you all enjoyed the festivities. I had a lovely Christmas and New Year, interspersed with illness which is making me attempt a healthier new year. I'm bored of being ill now.

Anyway, this is what I wore on Christmas day. The top was a Christmas present (picked by me) from Evans and it's one of my current favourites. The jeans got a lot of wear over Christmas too, they look almost leather like and make a nice change to 'normal' jeans. The amazing moustache shoes were another present and are also getting a lot of wear!

The month of January see's me fairly skint, so I am not buying any new clothes this month. Plus I was very lucky and received a lot of new items for Christmas, hopefully once I look less like Rudolph  you'll see a few more outfit posts from me this month.
